This chapter studies different dimensions of the social process of informed consent procedures between medical staff and potential research subjects in clinical trials. It focusses on how different co-productive practices that constitute informed consent are formed between research subjects and researchers in Parkinson’s disease trials. Informed consent is seen as an ethical tool for recruiting subjects as well as for conducting and reporting research projects; that is, for realizing research between the two negotiating sides of scientists and trial participants, respectively.
